The House of Koda includes Melissa, a working professional in the city of NYC, and Koda, a two-year old Australian Shepherd. Our aim is to provide a platform to share our photography, travel experiences, and tips around daily life with a dog in the city!
About Melissa
I'm a born Midwestern turned city dweller, a Taiwanese American, and currently a finance manager working for a healthcare tech company in NYC. While Koda is my life, I also love staying active either boxing at the gym or out hiking the trails, and count food, photography, and trip planning among my other passions. If I'm not out exploring the areas around Brooklyn on the weekends, I'm either back in the PNW or enjoying a lazy day with Netflix and food delivery on the couch.

Koda is a Blue Merle Australian Shepherd and a fun-loving, carefree spirit who will never say no to sidewalk pizza or butt rubs. He loves all people and avoids all vacuums. He is the reason behind this blog, as I wanted to document the adventures we go on together, and showcase what travel and lifestyle can look like with a dog. This is all thanks to him!
